Registration open for the “Introduction to R for healthcare data science” webinar
The 'Getting started with R for Health Data Science' webinar on 25th October, 8 am (Brazilian Time), 12pm (British time), organised by the Vice-Presidency of Education, Information and Communication (VPEIC) of Fiocruz, in a partnership that involves the Fiocruz Hub team from The Global Health Network (TGHN Fiocruz) with other institutions, is now open for registration, and will explore the dynamic world of R programming and its applications in health data research. The event will provide simultaneous translation to Portuguese and Spanish.
In the webinar, there will be panellists from the Oxford University in the United Kingdom, the International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research in Bangladesh (icddr,b) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) who already use the programming R and its applications in health data research.
R is an open-source programming language used by data science interaction with regards to be manipulating, analysing, and visualizing data. The language is common in healthcare areas because it is free. The webinar aims to serve as an entry point and offer insights into the capabilities and versatility that R brings in the pursuit of a diverse range of health research projects.
