Webinar "Introduction to Bioinformatics and Global Health"
On Wednesday, 24 June, The Global Health Network Latin America and the Caribbean (TGHN LAC) will host the webinar "Introduction to Bioinformatics and Global Health", a free virtual event open to students, researchers, lecturers, and health professionals with basic knowledge of molecular and cell biology.
The initiative brings the fundamentals of bioinformatics closer to the region's scientific and academic community, with discussions on biomedical research, genomic surveillance, emerging disease analysis, and evidence generation for public health decision-making. The event features the participation of Fiocruz researchers, alongside specialists from partner institutions across Latin America.
The webinar takes place from 11:00 to 13:00 (Brasília time), on Zoom, and will be conducted in Spanish with simultaneous interpretation into Portuguese and English. It is organised by Fiocruz in partnership with Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidad del Valle, and Etikos.
