Cristiani Vieira Machado

Regional Lead

Cristiani Vieira Machado is a doctor, researcher and teacher at the Sergio Arouca National School of Public Health in Fiocruz. She holds a Master's and PhD in Public Health (UERJ) and completed a post-doctorate in Political Science (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill-USA). She is currently the Vice President of Education, Information and Communication of Fiocruz.

Ernesto Caffarena

Co-PI at Fiocruz on TGHN LAC

Ernesto Caffarena has a degree in Physics and a PhD in Exact Sciences (National University of La Plata). He has experience in the area of Molecular Biophysics, with an emphasis on Molecular Dynamics and computational free energy calculations. He is co-PI at Fiocruz on The Global Health Network Latin America and The Caribbean (TGHN LAC) and the coordinator of the Fiocruz Scientific Computing Program.

 

Leonardo Bastos

Co PI in Fiocruz on TGHN LAC

Leonardo is a public health researcher at the the Scientific Computing Program (PROCC/Fiocruz). He has a BSc degree in Statistics (UFMG), with a MSc (UFRJ) and a PhD (The University of Sheffield, UK) in the same area. He did a post-doctorate in infectious disease epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. His main work is on development and application of statistical methods in the epidemiology of infectious diseases. He is a co-PI at Fiocruz on The Global Health Network Latin America and The Caribbean (TGHN LAC). 

 

Ana Lucia Teixeira

Administrative assistant

Ana Lúcia has been working since 2005 in the Scientific Computing Program (PROCC/VPEIC), in the administrative management and planning of national and international projects, as well as in other activities of the department. Currently, she also supports the administrative activities of the Fiocruz Hub and the TGHN LAC Hub in the Global Health Network.

 

Amanda Bejar

Administrative assistant

Amanda Bejar has a degree in Events (UNESA) and a technologist in Optometry and Contactology (SENAC). Currently, she is specializing in Project Management. She has a multidisciplinary professional profile marked by fifteen years of managerial experience – with a focus on articulation between strategic collaborators, the generation of financial and accountability reports, as well as the organization of scientific events. She is currently an Administrative Assistant at the Fiocruz Hub at The Global Health Network, acting in the Vice Presidency of Education, Information and Communication of Fiocruz (VPEIC).

 

Flávia Bueno

Executive Coordinator

Flávia Bueno, is a psychologist, has a residency (UFRJ) and a Master's degree in Public Health (Fiocruz). She is a PhD in Global Health and Sustainability (USP). Currently, she is the executive project coordinator of the Fiocruz Hub at The Global Health Network, acting in the Vice Presidency of Education, Information andwork Communication (VPEIC).

 

Larissa Marques

Data Coordinator

Larissa Marques, is a nurse, specialist in health management with both a Master's degree and a Doctorate in Collective Health (epidemiology area) (UFSC). Post-doctorate in epidemiology (Fiocruz). She is currently the data coordinator in Hub Fiocruz projects in The Global Health Network, acting in the Vice Presidency of Education, Information and Communication of Fiocruz (VPEIC).


Luisa Picanço

Communication Analyst

Luisa Picanço is a journalist (UnB) and a Master in Education, Dissemination and Management in Biosciences (UFRJ). She currently works as a communication analyst at the Fiocruz Hub in The Global Health Network, acting in the Vice Presidency of Education, Information and Communication of Fiocruz (VPEIC).

 

Cristiane Bresani

Researcher (Clinical Research)

Cristiane Bresani is a doctor, specialist in General Medicine, has a Master's degree in Maternal and Child Health and is a Doctor of Science (Fiocruz). She works as a clinical researcher at the Laboratory of Virology and Experimental Therapy (LaViTE) at the Fiocruz office in Pernambuco, where she is a regional collaborator, carrying out the activities of the LAC regional Program of The Global Health Network.

 

Jaime Ribeiro Filho

Researcher (Research)

Jaime ribeiro Filho is a pharmacist, has a master's degree in Natural Products (UFPB) and a PhD in Sciences (IOC/Fiocruz). He is a permanent researcher at Fiocruz Ceará. He works as a teacher and advisor in the Postgraduate Programs at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and the Regional University of Cariri. The research led by Dr. Jaime is mainly directed towards investigating new therapeutic targets and pre-clinical research into new drug candidates for the treatment of inflammatory and infectious diseases and anxiety disorders. He is a Regional Collaborating Researcher at The Global Health Network Latin America and The Caribbean (TGHN LAC).

 

Letícia Marinho

Research assistant

Letícia Marinho is a biologist, has a master's degree in Science, Technology and Health Dissemination (Fiocruz - Brazil), and a researcher in accessibility in museums and science centers (MCCAC Group). She is currently a scientific disseminator at the Fiocruz Hub in The Global Health Network, acting in the Vice Presidency of Education, Information and Communication of Fiocruz (VPEIC).

 

 

Laís Araujo

Research assistant

Laís Araujo is a Social Worker, graduated in Social Work (UFRJ), a specialist in Social Work and Health (UERJ), a master's degree and doctoral student in Social Work (PUC Rio). She is a researcher associated with Fiocruz and The Global Health Network (TGHN) in the Pathfinder Vacina Maré project and in NEGAS - Núcleo de Estudios en Salud y Género (PUC Rio - Brazil).
